Compliance with data protection and data security regulations is essential for us. Our employees and appointed persons are obligated to comply with the data protection provisions established by law.
The European regulatory framework for data protection consists in particular of the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR) and the new Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), as well as other applicable data protection laws in the Member States of the European Union. In the following sections, we will provide you with complete and transparent information about the methods, scope, and purpose of processing personal data on our online platform and related websites. In addition, with this Privacy Policy we aim to inform you about your rights.
Access Data Logging and General Information
With each visit to our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends a series of data and general access information to the server of our website/application and temporarily stores it in a so-called log file. These data will not be stored together with other personal data of yours.
The following information may be recorded, even without your active input, and stored until its automatic deletion:
- An IP address of the device making the request on the Internet
- The date and time of your access to the website
- The website/application from which the access was made (referrer URL)
- The type and version of browser you are using
- The operating system of your Internet-enabled computer
- The name of your Internet service provider
- The subpages accessed from our website through your access system
- Files downloaded from our website (e.g., PDF or Word documents)
The legal basis for processing the IP address is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest arises from the data collection purposes mentioned above. The provider cannot draw any direct conclusions about your identity using general access information and data. Your device’s IP address and the other listed data are required to:
- Understand and statistically evaluate user behavior
- Deliver our website content properly
- Optimize our website content and advertising
- Ensure the continued functioning of our IT systems and website technology
- Provide law enforcement authorities with necessary information in the event of a cybercrime
The data will be automatically deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. For the processing of data related to providing the website, this occurs when the respective session ends. Log file data will be automatically deleted no later than 7 days after storage.
Processing of Personal Data
The use of the provider’s online offering is generally possible without having to provide any personal data. However, if you wish to use our services through our website, it may be necessary to process your personal data.
Your personal data will always be processed in accordance with the GDPR and the new BDSG. This means that user data will only be processed if legally permitted, i.e., if the data processing is legally required, if there is appropriate user consent, or if it is justified by our legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Personal data includes all information that can be used explicitly to identify you. This includes information such as your name, mailing address or email, telephone number, location, (online) identification, or other distinguishing characteristics that are an expression of your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity.
We will collect your personal data, in addition to access data, only if you provide it to us voluntarily, e.g., in a survey, contact request, newsletter subscription, or online order. Personal data will only be used as necessary and only for the purpose authorized by you or for legal purposes. For any other use of personal data, especially for advertising purposes, the provider will always seek your express consent prior to collection.
Product orders from the provider can be placed via the provider’s online shop. The applicable data processing in this context is explained in the general terms and conditions of the online store.
